Queens on Etsy: Jackson Heights Bikes

Obsession with little details led shop owner, Eclair (like the pastry), to create her Etsy shop: likethepastry. Likethepastry has been a “purveyor of fine tchotchkes since 2012.” Eclair’s creativity does not end with her shop name. These 6-inch long bikes are made of ONE continuous piece of wire and some added PVC tubing. At $22 each, you can give a unique gift to your favorite cyclist or treat yo'self (Parks and Recreation, anyone?) and adorn your own desk! Eclair’s charming creations are made out of her home in Jackson Heights and when she first started her shop, a lot of her supplies came from an art supply store on 37th Ave. Sad for us, she will be moving to Russia soon but will still be hard at work on her shop from there! Until then she will be spending as much time enjoying her favorite things in Jackson Heights: “I’ll still be eating too many samosas on 74th, drinking too much at Terraza and enjoying the best borough in the city.” Who can argue with that?
