I’ve read some good things about Milkflower Wood Fired Pizza (via weheartastoria.com) so it was added to my extensive, never-ending list of restaurants to try next. A rainy Thursday night and craving for pizza brought it to the top of the list.
What we ordered for two to share:
- The special fig, arugula, and prosciutto salad with a balsamic reduction (the fresh figs were SO good)
- Meatball appetizer
- Brussels Sprout pizza (mozzarella, egg, and truffle oil)
What we’ll try next time:
- Homemade burrata appetizer
- Shishito peppers with lemon aioli appetizer
- Spicy Soppressata pizza
We didn’t get dessert this time because we were stuffed and wanted to head to Queens Kickshaw to get some coffee. But next time, we just might have to make some room for their gelato.
Aside from the food, I loved the restaurant interior as well, especially the seat backs made from burlap coffee bags.
