Free Jazz Thursdays in Forest Hills (August 15th 7pm) - Presented by the Forest Hills Chamber of Commerce. Eat Butcher Bar brisket at LIC Flea and shop around for some fun antiques, a new wallet or buy a local LIC painting (Saturday and Sundays). Explore Walter White’s character transformation at the Breaking Bad exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria: From Mr. Chips to Scarface: Walter White’s Transformation in Breaking Bad. If you go on Saturday, August 17th, you can also catch a screening of Rosemary’s Baby at 2:30pm (free with museum admission, first-come/first-served). Finally make your way to Ridgewood and enjoy some crab spring rolls and grilled short ribs at bun-ker. Watch Jamaica Bay Lives! at the Queens World Film Festival Beach Flix at Beach 86th Street in Rockaway, among other great films, on Saturday, August 17th at dusk (free). PLUS, one more for good luck: The Lockwood Shop is rumored to be opening on Thursday, August 15th (11am-8pm) in Astoria. Can’t wait to see what lifestyle goods the shop has to offer!  I have a feeling it will become one of our new favorite stores…
